Zendaya Shares Another Look At Chani From Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’

Zendaya shared a brand-new image image of Chani from Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Dune remake.

In the last few days, we have gotten our first look at Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated Dune remake and the world of Arrakis. The images have stirred a lot of anticipation for many online with a first trailer hopefully on the way soon. Another major reason for the hype is because the upcoming Dune film is comprised of an all-star cast. Spider-Man star Zendaya is one of those names, who’s set to play Chani, a warrior who belongs to the Fremen. Chani was portrayed by Sean Young in David Lynch’s 1984 film.

Denis Villeneuve is planning on telling the sci-fi epic in two parts, given the book’s massive length. While we got our first look at Zendaya’s Chani on Tuesday morning, the 23-year old actress later shared another image from Dune on her Instagram, which offers an even better look at her character. You can check out the brand-new Dune image of Zendaya’s Chani below.

Dune was first adapted into a feature film in 1984 by director David Lynch, receiving mixed reviews but becoming a cult favorite. In 2000, the novel was later adapted as a miniseries on the Sci-Fi channel.

Denis Villeneuve is also helming the pilot of a television series for Warner Bros. in addition to serving as an executive producer on the project. A release date for the Dune series has yet to be announced for HBO Max.

Directed Denis Villeneuve from a script he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth, the upcoming film stars by Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

Dune is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2020.
