Marvel is reportedly eyeing Star Wars actor Adam Driver for a role in its Fantastic Four reboot.

Adam Driver could be going from a galaxy far, far away to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Star Wars is rumored to have met with Marvel for a role in the next Fantastic Four movie. The rumor was first reported during the latest episode of the Hot Mic podcast with Jeff Sneider and John Rocha, who recently broke Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross casting.

Adam Driver as Mr. Fantastic?

According to Jeff Sneider, one of the most reliable reports in Hollywood, Adam Driver has spoken with Marvel for the role of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four. Sneider stresses that the rumor comes from an unproven source, so this report should be taken with a grain of salt.

Adam Driver has previously been linked to the role of Doctor Doom, who is rumored to be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in next month’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He was also approached to play Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before the role went to Jesse Eisenberg.

John Krasinski played the Earth-838 variant of Reed Richards in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but his future as the character is currently in doubt. Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt has said that she’s hopeful we’ll see the actor back as Richards for Fantastic Four.

WandaVision helmer Matt Shakman is set to direct the Fantastic Four movie for Marvel. The film’s screenplay is currently being written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, but the project is still a long time away as it was recently pushed back to 2025.

Fantastic Four is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.  Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
