Following the return of Hayden Christensen in Obi-Wan Kenobi, fans have been wondering if the Anakin Skywalker actor would reunite with the final member of the Clone Wars trinity in Ahsoka. The show’s star Rosario Dawson downplays the rumors, though stops short of fully deconfirming them.
Its been a dream of fans (and likely Dave Filoni) to finally see the Clone Wars trinity in Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka reunite in live-action. That dream is closer than ever with Rosario Dawson getting her own solo series as Ahsoka and Ewan McGregor reuniting with Hayden Christensen on the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Dawson says that, while that would be amazing to see come to fruition, she’s simply happy to share the universe with Christensen:
“It’s just been really cool that at this moment, I’m joining it,” Dawson tells Total Film. “And he’s been able to come back [in 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi] and also get embraced by the Star Wars family in a way that I think is much deserved. It’s definitely one of those things that would be super cool if he was [in Ahsoka], but I’m just really grateful that we’re in the same universe.”
While it’s not impossible for Hayden Christensen to appear as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka, the show seems much more focused on continuing the story of the Star Wars Rebels Ghost Crew than any other part of the universe. Though given Dave Filoni is set to helm a Star Wars film to wrap up the Disney Plus “Mandoverse”, it’s possible fans may see Rosario Dawson come face-to-face with Darth Vader.
The creative team cast of Ahsoka
The Ahsoka Tano series is being developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. The latter co-created Ahsoka alongside George Lucas, with the heroine making her first apppearance in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The cast of the Ahsoka Tano series includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, a.k.a. Darth Vader. Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson are also on board in undisclosed roles.
