Rolling Stone confirmed that actors Alfred Enoch and Bonnie Wright will be lending their voices to the audiobook version of Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman. Both Enoch and Wright were part of the Harry Potter film franchise as Dean Thomas and Ginny Weasley respectively. Rickman’s wife, Rima Horton, and close friend Steve Crossley will also be lending their voices to the audiobook.

Alan Rickman appeared in all eight Harry Potter films as Severus Snape, the mysterious Potions Master at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His seeming animosity towards Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends played a part in the mystery of his character’s backstory, which got revealed even further as each year at Hogwarts progressed.

According to his diary entries, Alan Rickman was reluctant to stay on the entire run of the Harry Potter film franchise, but what kept him on was the fact that J.K. Rowling told him years prior to the publishing of the final novel about his integral backstory, particularly in regards to his friendship with Harry’s mother Lily Evans.
