‘Aquaman’ Star Amber Heard Involved With Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Reshoots

Jared Leto isn't the only surprising name returning for reshoots...

Aquaman star Amber Heard is reportedly returning as Mera for Zack Snyder’s Justice League reshoots after appearing briefly in the theatrical version.

Zack Snyder is not only assembling his Justice League cut, which will now be a four-episode miniseries, but he is also currently filming reshoots. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of Jared Leto returning as The Joker in the Snyder Cut, but he isn’t the only DCEU star involved with the reshoots. The trade notes Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Amber Heard will also be involved with the additional photography.

Before her supporting role in Aquaman, Amber Heard first debuted as Mera briefly in the theatrically released version of Justice League. Heard was also seen in the Justice League trailer Zack Snyder shared during DC Fandome back in August. With Heard involved with the latest round of reshoots for Justice League, it’s safe to say we can expect a larger role for her in the highly anticipated director’s cut. Heard is also expected to return as Mera in James Wan’s Aquaman sequel.
