A new Avengers: Endgame fan theory predicts how Captain America could die in the anticipated Marvel Studios epic.
Avengers: Endgame is expected to mark the final outing for several long-time MCU cast members, including Chris Evans, and many are predicting that Captain America will meet his demise in the game-changing film. While the First Avenger previously sacrificed his life to save millions after piloting Red Skull’s armed warship into the arctic ocean, he was spared from death as the super soldier serum enabled him to survive in suspended animation until he was revived in the present day.
However, the new theory proposes that Captain America will make a similar decision to steer an aircraft to his death in an attempt to save others and that the moment in the trailer in which Steve Rogers discusses their plan with Black Widow takes place before the sacrifice. The theory also suggests that Steve Rogers will look at the image of Peggy Carter that he keeps in his compass before his death, mirroring the moments before he was lost in the artic during his final scene in the first Captain America film.
