A prototype Captain Marvel prop from Avengers: Infinity War reveals a surprising connection to the space-based agency SWORD.
A newly revealed prototype prop from Avengers: Infinity War shows off an interesting Captain Marvel connection to the space agency, SWORD. The department operates similarly to SHIELD, only in outer space. Most recently, the Agents of SHIELD series referenced the other agency during the season seven finale when it came to wrapping up Daisy Johnson’s storyline. But this latest connection comes from a small detail on a prototype prop intended for Infinity War.
Fans will remember that at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury managed to pull out a pager to call Captain Marvel to warn her about the devastating event unfolding across the universe. But a fan on Reddit recently revealed that the SWORD logo is on the back of a prototype pager, underneath the SHIELD logo. And since its implied that Nick Fury was operating the agency at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it’ll be interesting to see what Marvel has in store for the department. Fans will next see Brie Larson return as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel 2, which will be directed by Candyman‘s Nia DaCosta. Take a look at the prototype Captain Marvel prop below.
