Will Barry Keoghan be in The Batman Part II? The Joker actor gives a sly answer when asked about his potential return as the Clown Prince of Crime.

One of the most shocking revelations to come out of The Batman was a deleted scene showing Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader conversing with Barry Keoghan’s Joker. While the actor did have a small cameo at the end of the movie, many fans felt like they missed out on the performance of a lifetime in the cut scene. But with The Batman Part II ramping up to begin production, there’s a hope that Keoghan could come back to take his much-deserved stage on the silver screen.

With the first details of The Batman Part II coming out to help promote The Penguin series, those hopes have flared up once again. The writer for the film confirms that the entire team is taking a much bigger swing than they did with the first one, hoping to make something impactful. Though to fans, nothing would be more impactful than seeing Barry Keoghan square off with Robert Pattinson in the streets of Gotham City as the Joker himself!

Is Barry Keoghan Back As The Joker?

One of the few beauties of the modern day media cycle is that, if fans have a question, it’s likely a journalist will ask it sooner rather than later. As expected, Barry Keoghan was recently asked if there were any plans for him to make his return as the Joker in The Batman Part II. The actor gave an expectedly sly answer, simply telling Variety “We’ll see where that goes. Again, incredible experience, and…yeah. That’s all I can say.”

Barry Keoghan’s playful attitude in the clip seems to suggest that he knows more than he’s letting on about a potential role in The Batman Part II. While it’s unclear if he’ll be the main villain, it’s certain that Matt Reeves has big plans for the Joker after his scene at the end of The Batman. So even if he isn’t the star in this movie, fans can rest assured Keoghan will have a starring role in a potential third film in the hypothetical trilogy.

The Batman Part II is set to release on October 2, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding The Batman universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
