According to the scooper, Achebe is being eyed as the next adversary for Wakanda in the MCU. While there’s no word on who will be playing the villain, many believe that the role may go to Denzel Washington, who recently confirmed his involvement in the sequel during the promotion of Gladiator II.
Who Is Achebe In Black Panther 3?
While Marvel has the tendency to drastically change obscure villains for the MCU, Achebe’s comic origin certainly provides a lot of fertile ground for Black Panther 3 to explore. The villain was originally a farmer in a small African country before his farm was used to quarter rebel soldiers from a foreign country, who eventually attacked him and burned his farm down. He’s a master of political maneuvering, ultimately serving to exile the Black Panther to America while took the throne of Wakanda for himself.
From this description alone, fans should be able to see how Black Panther 3 may be setting up the return of T’Challa as the “true” King of Wakanda. Achebe also had mechanized minions called “Prowlers” which, while separate from the Spider-Man villain, provides the space for Marvel to throw in a fun cameo from another popular MCU series if they decided to.
