Wesley Snipes isn’t done with Blade yet! A new rumor teases Blade may make his return to the MCU sooner than fans think.
One of the biggest treats of Deadpool and Wolverine was Wesley Snipes’ return to his iconic role as Blade. Even those knee-deep in the rumor mill didn’t believe it was possible, making it one of the few true surprises for everyone in the audience. Yet while many fans enjoyed the actor’s victory lap as the dashing dhampir, others seemed to hope that this wouldn’t be the last they saw of the iconic vampire slayer in the MCU.
Luckily, a new rumor by MyTimeToShineHello suggests good things are coming for fans of Wesley Snipes as Blade. The scooper reveals that, while the actor is indeed set to return in the MCU, it may end up being sooner than even the most dedicated fans might expect. Even though they didn’t tip their hand about where the iconic Daywalker would appear, that hasn’t stopped the internet from wildly speculating about the possibilities.
When Will Blade Return To The MCU?
The obvious answer is that Wesley Snipes will appear as Blade in Avengers: Secret Wars. Though given the film is a capstone to the multiverse saga, with Marvel expected to bring in almost every actor whose ever played a marvel character, it doesn’t fit the rumor’s profile of Snipes’ return being sooner than fans expect.
When looking at the current slate of MCU projects, there’s not a film that makes perfect sense for Wesley Snipes to appear in. However, the rumor never stated that the actor was set to return in a movie. Given Blade has already been confirmed to appear in Marvel Zombies, and his voice actor has been kept a secret for some reason, many believe that Snipes may voice the character in the upcoming animated series.
