Bruce Campbell seemingly confirmed his cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Fans are eagerly anticipating director Sam Raimi’s return to the comic book movie genre with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The filmmaker returns to the genre 15 years after the release of his much-maligned Spider-Man 3, and with his involvement, many expect to see his frequent-collaborator and friend Bruce Campbell to have a cameo.
For quite some time, Bruce Campbell’s potential involvement with the sequel remained a mystery, but a fan from the subreddit r/raimimemes had a chance to conduct a Q&A with him. The actor was inevitably asked about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, to which he had this to say:
“The deal with Doctor Strange is interesting. A majority of the film was reshot extensively, so I have no idea whats in there and what isn’t. I did a cool scene with a character that’s been beloved for years, and… we’ll have to see what ends up in the movie. I don’t know if its still in there. It’s a pretty cool part.”
The prospect of seeing Bruce Campbell play a beloved Marvel Comics character would be interesting to see. Given his role in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, he portrayed three different characters in each. He portrayed the wrestling announcer in the first film, a theatre usher in the second, and a waiter at a French restaurant in the third. It would be fun to see Bruce Campbell portray an iconic Marvel Comics character in this sequel, and knowing his connection to Sam Raimi, it’s safe to say the role would be a memorable one.
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming film:
The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before.
