It seems Captain America: Brave New World is getting more extensive reshoots than many may have thought. A new rumor suggests Sam Wilson’s return to the big screen may have cut some of its key villains.
Rumors leading up to Captain America: Brave New World painted it as chock full of characters, from Harrison Ford as Red Hulk, to The Leader, and even Sabra. However, it seems recent reshoots have cut out a set of key villains from the film, with scooper CanWeGetSomeToast revealing Sam Wilson will no longer face off against the Serpent Society in the film.
The Serpent Society were set to play a key role in the first act of Captain America: Brave New World, with actors like WWE Superstar Seth Rollins joining the MCU in the team of villains. While conflicting rumors mean that this report isn’t a certainty, it’s likely Sam Wilson will have bigger problems than them once the film finally rolls around.
What to expect from the Captain America sequel
Details regarding the plot of Captain America: Brave New World are being kept under wraps. Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) and The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) are expected to serve as the main villains of the movie, which is currently in production for a February 2025 release.
Julius Onah is directing Captain America: Brave New World, working from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.
