A promotional banner at San Diego Comic-Con showcases Sam Wilson’s Captain America and Sharon Carter donning a new suit.

San Diego Comic-Con returns next week for the first time since 2019, and Marvel Studios is looking to have a massive presence again. Last month, Kevin Feige confirmed that the studio seeks to unveil some of their plans at their Hall H presentation, and as the event comes closer, some new promotional material teasing the future of the franchise has been spotted in the city. In this case, we see a new banner with Sam Wilson/Captain America (Anthony Mackie) wielding the iconic shield. But perhaps most interesting about this banner is the presence of Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) donning an updated suit.

Is Captain America 4 news coming?

Recently, it was reported that Julias Onah was tapped to direct the currently untitled fourth Captain America movie, in which Sam Wilson will take center stage. Given that fans are expecting some announcements next Saturday from Marvel Studios, it wouldn’t be surprising to see if certain story details will be revealed, including how Sharon Carter may factor into the story, given how the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier set her up.

Both Sam Wilson’s Captain America and Sharon Carter were last seen together in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent. Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly also appear.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Captain America, Sharon Carter, and Marvel Studios’ biggest news from San Diego Comic-Con, and and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.
