See Charlie Hunnam Replace Hugh Jackman As Wolverine For The MCU

It's surprising he hasn't already been snatched up for a superhero role!

Charlie Hunnam becomes Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor in a stunning concept design for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

As audiences round the world wait for the return of the MCU through Black Widow and Eternals, a much-debated question is how Marvel Studios will eventually add mutants into the sprawling continuity. And when it comes to one of the famous members of the X-Men, there’s a huge list of candidates who fans want to see become Wolverine now that Hugh Jackman is no longer attached to the role. Although the popular choices seem to be Tom Hardy, Scott Eastwood and Taron Egerton, this concept depicts Charlie Hunnam as Wolverine.

Charlie Hunnam is often suggested as the ideal person to play a cinematic version of Green Arrow, but this new piece of fan art from digital artist ‘mizuriau’ on Instagram imagines the Sons of Anarchy and The Gentlemen star following up Hugh Jackman. It’s a little strange seeing the actor with dark hair, but it definitely works alongside the Adamantium claws. He’s played a wide range of characters over the years in various Hollywood blockbusters like Pacific Rim and smaller character-driven movies like Crimson Peak, so it’s surprising that he hasn’t already been snapped up for a superhero role. Take a look at Charlie Hunnam as Wolverine below.
