Colin Farrell transforms into The Penguin in a cool concept design that shows the Fantastic Beasts star with the villain’s classic comic book look for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

Filming for Robert Pattinon’s The Batman is expected to resume again in the United Kingdom soon, with social distancing measures after production was put on hold due to concerns over the ongoing pandemic. Before filming was paused, we had already seen Pattinson’s Batman and the new Batmobile. The upcoming superhero flick will have a presence at DC FanDome next month, where fans are hoping to get a first look at Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman, Paul Dano’s Riddler and Colin Farrell’s Penguin.

In a recent interview, The Batman star Colin Farrell admitted that he won’t have a large role in the film as The Penguin. Some have speculated that Farrell’s Penguin could be a childhood friend of Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, as seen in the Telltale Batman games, since director Matt Reeves referred to his character as “Oz” on Twitter. Since The Penguin could be set up as a future villain in the film, he might not be getting his classic comic book look when we see him in The Batman next year. New artwork from digital artist “Britedit” on Instagram gives us an idea of what Colin Farrell could look like with The Penguin look we’ve come to know in the past iterations of the Batman villain. Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key but the project will be centered on Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. The film is also expected to be the first installment to a new trilogy with Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Colin Farrell’s Penguin and Robert Pattinon’s Batman, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
