Actors from the numerous Netflix Marvel shows such as Daredevil are officially promoting Disney Plus in a new video.
Earlier this month, numerous shows from Marvel’s Netflix Original Series collection that included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders and The Punisher moved to Disney Plus as their new streaming home. With this move, Disney Plus implemented new parental controls on the service, given the content from these series are made for older audiences.
With Daredevil and many other Marvel Netflix series moving to Disney Plus, along with the recent appearances of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Daredevil and Kingpin respectively in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some have speculated that we will be seeing the original cast of Daredevil return, leading others hopeful that the stars of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher would also come back, years after their cancellations on Netflix. Well, some interesting fuel was added to the fire of some fans hopes thanks to a new video that was released.
In honor of the move from Netflix to Disney Plus, a selection of actors and actresses from these Marvel shows have officially promoted the new streaming home. We see Daredevil’s Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, Iron Fist’s Finn Jones, Jessica Jones’ Krysten Ritter, Luke Cage’s Simon Missick, and The Punisher’s Ben Barnes all in succession. We also see Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Ming-Na Wen and Clark Gregg promoting their series’ move from Netflix to Disney Plus:
Fans are expecting to see at least Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio return to the MCU in the near future, so their appearance on this video isn’t all that surprising. However, seeing the involvement of certain actors and actresses from the other Netflix shows promoting the new streaming home of Disney Plus is quite interesting and leaves one wondering if this hints at their respective returns in the future. Looks like fans will have to wait and see if these former Netflix characters will be involved in future MCU projects.
