Disney Plus Removes Netflix’s Name From ‘Daredevil’ Opening Credits

One particular removal is pretty funny to spot.

Daredevil Disney Plus Marvel Netflix Defenders

Disney Plus removed Netflix’s name in the opening credits for Daredevil and other Marvel series.

Recently, Netflix’s original series produced along with Marvel Television were removed from the streaming service and onto Disney Plus. The series included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders and The Punisher. All of these series, which were made for adult-oriented audiences, are among the first on Disney Plus that led to the addition of new parental controls options for subscribers.

With the transfer from Netflix to Disney Plus, shows like Daredevil have now had their “Netflix Presents” text in the opening credits removed. In particular, a fan on Reddit spotted this interesting case regarding Jessica Jones, in which Season 1 Episode 2 featured the opening graphic in which “A Netflix Original Series” used to be seen with a white scribble underneath. In a humorous turn of events, we still see the white scribble:

Now that the numerous Netflix Marvel shows have moved onto Disney Plus, it will be interesting to see if there is a future regarding these characters in the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, we now have Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio officially part of the franchise, so it will be fun to see more of these characters return in the future.

Here is the synopsis for Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3:

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whalley, Jay Ali, Wilson Bethel, Stephen Rider, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
