A new Mulan trailer has been released ahead of its arrival on Disney Plus as a premium rental.

While many fans are still disappointed Mulan is going to Disney Plus instead of getting a theatrical release, a new trailer has made its way online to promote the film starring Liu Yifei as the legendary hero. Disney CEO Bob Chapek recently explained Mulan is a “one-off and this release model won’t be adopted for other big-budget titles like Black Widow. But the newly released trailer hopes to persuade audiences with a glimpse of the action awaiting them.

The new trailer highlights an impressive fight sequence in a narrow alley between the Imperial Army and the invaders, as well as some of the larger battles. The footage also shows off the importance of Mulan embracing her own identity rather than pretending to be a man. If anything, the new trailer makes it even more disappointing that Mulan is heading to Disney Plus instead of getting a theatrical release. But at least audiences will be able to see it if they’re subscribed to the service. Watch the new footage from Disney Plus’ Mulan below.

What do you think about the trailer for Disney Plus’ Mulan? Do you think it should get a theatrical release? Sound-off in the comments below!

Disney’s live-action Mulan stars Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Yoson An, Gong Li, Jimmy Wong, Tzi Ma, and Jet Li. Here’s the official synopsis:

When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into an honored warrior and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father.
