A continuity error was spotted in a newly-released clip for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Yesterday, an official clip from Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated new film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released. The clip showcases a battle between Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Gargantos, in which the Sorcerer rescues America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).

In a clip that otherwise showcases the exciting direction of Sam Raimi, one fan spotted a glaring continuity error from it. Throughout the clip, we see this particular extra running through the streets in a panic with a briefcase and newspaper in his hands. Interestingly enough, through numerous cuts, he is shown running past Doctor Strange multiple times in the same spot.

You can spot the goof from the new clip down below:

Some are speculating that the placement of this particular extra amidst the continuity on display is to disorient viewers, similar to how the concept of the Multiverse of Madness itself is quite twisted on its own. Either way, it is pretty peculiar to see this in the new clip. If nothing else, that poor citizen certainly made his presence known!

Here is the synopsis for The Multiverse of Madness:
