Doorman may finally be making his debut in the MCU! A new Marvel Studios rumor suggests that they may be gearing up to debut an obscure fan-favorite.
Marvel Studios has gotten rather comfortable introducing some of its weirder characters in the Multiverse Saga. Perhaps the biggest to come to mind is Frog-Man in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. However, even some of the MCU’s more self-serious projects have introduced their fair share of weirdos, such as Rintrah in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Alligator Loki in Loki.
And it seems they don’t plan on slowing down! A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello reveals that Marvel Studios is actually looking to debut Doorman in an upcoming MCU project. For those unaware, Doorman is a member of the Great Lake Avengers: a team made up of terrible heroes. Doorman’s powers give him the ability to channel the Darkforce, which in practice means he can allow anyone to pass through objects by stepping through his body. He becomes the door!
Is Doorman In The MCU?
Surprisingly, fans only know of a handful of MCU projects that haven’t come out yet. Out of all of them, Wonder Man seems to be the best bet as to where Doorman could show up if this rumor turns out to be true. Marvel Studios often saves its weird characters for Disney Plus, and the show coming out so soon means it’s possible scoopers have seen early clips from the project.
There’s also some evidence to this effect. The scooper put out another rumor stating that Doorman will, in fact, be making his debut in the Wonder Man series. Of course, this report is far from confirmation, as it’s always possible that the information the leaker received was only partially true. However, it certainly seems that Doorman will be hitting the small screen soon!
