Dwayne Johnson teased a paradigm shift in an intense new behind-the-scenes photo from Black Adam.

Although there has been a shift in release dates regarding upcoming DC Extended Universe films, Dwayne Johnson’s long-awaited Black Adam movie is still set to hit theaters later this year. The film, which will introduce audiences to the beloved antihero and nemesis to Shazam, looks to be an exciting new adventure that will add some exciting new characters to the franchise.

Reshoots are currently underway with Black Adam, and Dwayne Johnson continues to heavily promote the upcoming film through more teases from the set. In this newest post from his Instagram, we see him donning the iconic suit once again, as he continues to promote the idea that a paradigm shift in cinematic superheroes is upon us:

Dwayne Johnson *is* Black Adam.

Upon filming the first Shazam!, Zachary Levi was subject to criticism by some fans due to the padding that was on display in his initial suit. Thankfully, the sequel’s suit looks to be a significant improvement in its redesign, and looks more in tune with what The Rock’s Black Adam suit projects aesthetically.

The Rock certainly worked as hard as he ever has when it comes to his superhero physique as Black Adam. Perhaps more than any other superhero actor, no one has looked as physically intimidating as he does when donning this suit. October can’t come soon enough.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular anti-hero, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on October 22nd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film, the future of the DC Multiverse, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
