‘Black Adam’ Star Dwayne Johnson Shows Up To SDCC In Full Costume

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson has shown up to San Diego Comic-Con in full costume, while the film’s director Jaume Collet-Serra has confirmed the DC film is now picture locked.

Dwayne Johnson promised Black Adam was coming to San Diego Comic-Con and he wasn’t lying. The actor has arrived at the Warner Bros. presentation for the Black Adam panel in full costume as the DC anti-hero.

In addition to Johnson’s appearance in the striking costume, the panel has seen director Jaume Collet-Serra confirm post-production work on Black Adam is almost complete.

The Man In Black Arrives At Comic-Con

Dwayne Johnson has been talking up Black Adam and his Comic-Con appearance for weeks and the actor has delivered big time, by rocking up in costume as his DC character.

Black Adam will see Dwayne Johnson playing Teth-Adam, an ancient Egyptian slave given the powers of the wizard Shazam. When he wakes up in the present day, Black Adam encounters the Justice Society of America and must choose whether he will become a hero or villain.

The film’s director Jaume Collet-Serra also confirmed the film is now picture locked, meaning only the final touches in the post-production process are left to complete before the film is in its final form.

Cast and crew members from Black Adam are appearing on the San Diego Comic-Con panel to promote the film. Fans at the event can expect to get a new look at the film ahead of its release this October.

Here is the synopsis for Black Adam:

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.
