During the “Cartoon Network: Winner Takes” presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed Justice League director Zack Snyder will cameo in the DC animated series Teen Titans Go!.
During the Teen Titans Go! panel in the Cartoon Network presentation, it was revealed that Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder would guest star in the series when the young superhero team set out to find a director for an extra-special episode.
Given the series’ light-hearted, comedic approach to its source material, it could make the perfect – if unlikely – vehicle for Snyder’s return to the DC Universe.
Teen Titans: Dawn Of Justice
Zack Snyder’s future with DC has been uncertain for a while now, though it looks like the company remains on good enough terms with Snyder to invite him to cameo on the animated series.
Teen Titans Go! is a far cry from Zack Snyder’s directing work in the DCEU. The director has helmed gritty, broody blockbusters such as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Recent controversies over the making of Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of Justice League, following his exit from the project originally, cast doubt over whether he would continue his involvement with any DC projects. If he were to retun, this probably wasn’t the form fans were expecting it to take.
Zack Snyder will voice himself in the 365th episode of Teen Titans Go!. Titled “365!,” the episode sees the team wanting to make something extra-special to mark this milestone and so they set out in search of a director for the episode. This leads them to Warner Bros., where they meet Snyder.
