Could Black Adam defeat the Man of Steel?

Black Adam actor Dwayne Johnson has revealed what he thinks would be the deciding factor in a fight between Black Adam and Superman.

Dwayne Johnson has been appearing alongside the rest of the Black Adam cast and crew in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con as part of the Warner Bros. presentation. Johnson was flying the flag for his DC antihero big time, turning up in full costume.

During the panel, Dwayne Johnson was asked the age-old comic book question: “Who would win in a fight…?” This time, the fan asking the question was pitting Black Adam and Superman against each other.

Surprisingly, given his obvious love for Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson didn’t immediately declare the DC antihero the victor in a throwdown with the Man of Steel. Instead, he said the deciding factor would have to do with Superman.

Dwayne Johnson admitted that “pound for pound” the two DC characters are pretty evenly matched. Considering which of them might come out on top in a superhero face-off, the Black Adam star revealed that the fight would probably rest on who was playing Superman.

Dwayne Johnson’s comments come at a time when Superman’s cinematic future is up in the air (no pun intended). However, with rumors circulating that Henry Cavill is due to make a surprise appearance at Comic-Con, the Black Adam actor might well be hinting that fans are about to find out exactly who will be playing Superman when he next appears on the big screen.

Here is the synopsis for Black Adam:

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
