Elizabeth Olsen Throws Shade At Marvel When Asked About Potential Return As The Scarlet Witch

Elizabeth Olsen fires shots at Marvel!

Elizabeth Olsen takes aim at Marvel! The Scarlet Witch actress threw a shot at the studio when discussing her potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

WandaVision catapulted Elizabeth Olsen into one of the most beloved actresses in the MCU. This left fans wildly disappointed when her next appearance as the Scarlet Witch was in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, a film which many say misused her character. It seems even Olsen agreed that Marvel fumbled the bag with that film!

“It’s a character I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well and I think I’ve been lucky when I started I was used well,” Olsen revealed in a recent interview. “And they kind of didn’t know what to do with me for a second there! If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”

It’s good to hear that, even though Elizabeth Olsen is getting a little spicy with Marvel, her time filming Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness didn’t completely ruin her passion for the MCU. The Scarlet Witch is one of the most prolific characters in the comics, both as an Avenger and as her own hero, leaving the possibilities for the character truly endless when it comes to which future projects she could make her return to.

Where Could Elizabeth Olsen Return In The MCU?

The obvious MCU project for Elizabeth Olsen to appear in next is Agatha All Along, given that the show is a spin-off of WandaVision. The show is also seemingly set to re-introduce the Scarlet Witch’s son in Billy Kaplan. However, it’s not the only Marvel project brewing with a familial connection to the heroine. It was recently confirmed that Vision will be getting his own series, potentially setting up Olsen to co-star in a similar way to their prior Disney Plus show.

Yet one show that fans may be sleeping on when it comes to an appearance from Elizabeth Olsen is Wonder Man. The character dated the Scarlet Witch for some time in the comics, even being the hero Vision’s brainwaves were based on. While Olsen likely wouldn’t play a large role, Marvel has been keeping details about the series close to its chest, potentially suggesting some massive reveals for the MCU could be coming in the upcoming series.

Agatha All Along is set to release on Disney Plus on September 18, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
