Ezra Miller’s The Flash is hitting theaters earlier than expected.

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that it has moved up The Flash by one week. The film is now slated for June 16, 2023, the same day as Pixar’s Elemental and Sony’s No Hard Feelings. The change also means that The Flash is now arriving one week after Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and two weeks before Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, giving it some breathing room.

The Flash has been testing through the roof in recent weeks, with insiders comparing it to Spider-Man: No Way Home, based on a report from Deadline. It’s one of the four DC Universe movies coming in 2023, the other three being Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

A recent report revealed that Warner Bros. Discovery already has a script for a potential sequel to The Flash, written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the man behind the two Aquaman movies starring Jason Momoa. However, Ezra Miller has been making headlines over a string of arrests and criminal charges. The actor is currently seeking treamtent for mental health issues.

Who else is attached to the Flash movie?

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.

In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
