Rick Flag Sr. is finally headed to the DC Universe! the first trailer for Peacemaker season 2 gives fans their first look at Frank Grillo’s live-action role.
Nobody has tried to keep quiet about the fact that Frank Grillo will be playing Rick Flag Sr. in the new DC Universe, least of all Grillo himself. However, despite knowing that he’d play a role in both Superman and Peacemaker season 2, no official footage of the actor playing his role in live-action has managed to surface online.
This all changed with a surprising post from official DC Universe accounts just prior to the finale of The Penguin. The pages decided to shadow drop the first teaser for Peacemaker season 2. While plenty of fun details were revealed in the footage, fans were also treated to their first look at Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr. In what little was seen, it’s clear that he’s in a mission that likely spells trouble for the Eleventh Street Kids!
What Peacemaker’s Teaser Reveals About Season 2
The most obvious thing that this teaser for season 2 reveals is that Rick Flag Sr. is on a mission during Peacemaker, likely to take down the team. While those that follow the news know that Frank Grillo had previously confirmed that he’ll be joining the series to avenge his son, this is the first official confirmation fans have gotten about any role he’ll have in the DC Universe following his animated debut in Creature Commandos.
However, Peacemaker saying that no one will ever break the team apart, no matter how far the distance could spell trouble for the group in season 2. Many fans speculate that the heroes will be sucked through the multiverse into the new DC Universe reboot heading into the shows’ sophomore season. So even though no person or distance could break them apart, it’s possible a universal jump could cause Christopher Smith to have to assemble them all over again.
