Game of Thrones is set to retake Comic-Con and Hall H on Friday, July 22 at 2:15 p.m for its annual panel, this year moderated by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator, writer and star Rob McElhenney. The panelists include the showrunners David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, ‘Battle of the Bastards‘ and ‘The Winds of Winter‘ director Miguel Sapochnik, and cast members John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Isaac Hemptstead Wright (Bran Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Faye Marsay (The Waif), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton), and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) with autograph signing at 4:15 p.m.
Because the show airs in the spring and Comic-Con occurs during the radio-silence of production, Thrones panels are often celebratory or retrospective than other TV show panels which have new seasons to tease or footage to show. Benioff & Weiss took last season’s panel off in the midst of the “Is Jon Snow really dead?” hoopla while author George R.R. Martin hasn’t taken part since the season 4 panel because he’s been focused on finishing the next book, The Winds of Winter.
Alongside Thrones, HBO is bringing Silicon Valley, Cinemax’s Outcast and their upcoming comedy Vice Principals. Absent from the list is their big-budget series adaptation of Westworld, which had notorious production issues like many other recent HBO projects. While Game of Thrones season 7 information will likely be scarce at the convention, you can find out everything you need to know now by reading our season 7 predictions here.
