A new set of prequel comics for Godzilla vs Kong reveals the first details for the upcoming film from Legendary Pictures.

While details for Legendary’s culmination of its cinematic MonsterVerse remain under wraps, a new set of prequel comics and an art book may include that first details as to how these two titans will collide with each other for the crossover event. The four MonsterVerse titles from Legendary Comics include Godzilla and Kong prequel books, a Kong Picture book, and The Art of Godzilla vs. Kong.

Twitter user omegagormaru has posted several screenshots from the books which reveal Godzilla seemingly finds his way to Skull Island, the home of Kong.

Godzilla vs. Kong is currently slated to hit theaters on November 20, 2020. The film was pushed back to the fall after previously being shifted from May to March of this year in order to avoid competing with Fast & Furious 9. While details remain under wraps, footage shown at CCXP last December revealed Kong to have grown to nearly the size of Godzilla by the time Godzilla vs. Kong takes place. In addition, then annual toy fair in Hong Kong may have spoiled the appearance of Mechagodzilla earlier this year.

Godzilla vs. Kong has been directed by Adam Wingard (Death Note) from a script written by Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean), Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer (The Kingkiller Chronicles), Cat Vasko (Queen of the Air), T.S. Nowlin (The Maze Runner, Pacific Rim: Uprising) and J. Michael Straczynski (World War Z).

The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, and Brian Tyree Henry, Demian Bichir, Rebecca Hall, Jessica Henwick, Lance Reddick, and Kyle Chandler.

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
