The CW has dropped a couple of posters for the Grant Gustin series The Flash.
With less than a month to go until The Flash returns for its ninth and final season, The CW has revealed two new posters for the Arrowverse series. The first one shows off a pair of gold boots worn by Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen while the second one features the character speeding through the streets of Central City. The final season of The Flash is bringing Stephen Amell back in its ninth episode, with the actor being joined by David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The episode marks Amell’s first Arrowverse appearance since the five-part crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The final season of The Flash consists of thirteen episodes instead of its usual twenty-plus installments. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Eric Wallace, Sarah Schechter, Sam Chalsen and Jonathan Butler. It is currently in production in Vancouver, Canada.
The storyline of The Flash season nine
The official The Flash season nine synopsis reads as follows: “After defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, the ninth season of THE FLASH picks up one week later following their epic battle, and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. But when a deadly group of Rogues descend on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team—Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Meta-Empath Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton), brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight), and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine (Jon Cor)—must once again defy impossible odds to save the day. But as The Rogues are defeated, a deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. And in their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits, in order to save Central City one last time.”
The Flash season nine features several core cast members, including Grant Gustin Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight. The series has also recruited Arrowverse veterans Javicia Leslie and Nicole Maines, though details about their roles are being kept under wraps.
