Harry Styles has suggested he is in no rush to start on his next acting role following his post-credits appearance as Eros in Marvel Studios’ Eternals last year.
Harry Styles made his MCU debut during the credits for Eternals, in a scene in which he appeared alongside Patton Oswalt’s Pip the Troll. Styles’ Eros, A.K.A. Starfox, was introduced as another Eternal and the brother of infamous Avengers villain Thanos.
While the stage has now been set for Harry Styles’ next MCU appearance as Eros, the star has said he might not be stepping back on set for a little while yet.
When Will Harry Styles Return To Marvel’s Universe?
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Harry Styles revealed that he might be taking a bit of a break from acting for the time being, possibly suggesting Eros wouldn’t be back in the MCU any time soon.
“I don’t imagine I’d do a movie for a while,” the singer said when asked about his recent move into the world of acting. While his Eternals post-credits scene – and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige – suggests Harry Styles’ Eros will indeed return to the MCU, that return may not be imminent.
Talking about a potential return to acting in the near future, Harry Styles said:
“I think there’ll be a time again when I’ll crave it. But when you’re making music, something’s happening. It feels really creative, and it feeds stuff. A large part of acting is the doing nothing, waiting thing. Which if that’s the worst part, then it’s a pretty good job. But I don’t find that section of it to be that fulfilling. I like doing it in the moment, but I don’t think I’ll do it a lot.”
Harry Styles also said of his brief appearance at the end of Eternals “It’d be funny if that was it, wouldn’t it?” While Eros likely has at least one full MCU adventure waiting for him, and potentially many more, it sounds like it could be a while before fans get to reunite with the brother of Thanos.

The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.
Chloe Zhao directed Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo, and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.
