An Obi-Wan Kenobi set photo finds Hayden Christensen standing alongside other Jedi.
The six-part Obi-Wan Kenobi event series for Disney Plus just concluded, and fans are still discussing how the series brought back not just Ewan McGregor as the former Jedi Master, but Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. In particular, a flashback sequence involving both characters before Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith caught a lot of attention, with many expressing excitement over seeing Christensen back as Anakin before his transformation.
A behind-the-scenes Obi-Wan Kenobi set photo of was posted onto Reddit. Here, we see him alongside three other actors wielding different lightsabers in what looks to be for the flashback scenes for Reva (Moses Ingram) during her Jedi Academy days before Order 66:
Redemption in Star Wars.
This return of Anakin Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the elements of the series that was most-praised. The actor was heavily criticized for his performance in the Prequel Trilogy, so to see him return to the role after 17 years is quite satisfying. Given that the actor is reportedly set to return for the upcoming Ahsoka series, his future in the Star Wars universe looks quite bright.
Here is the synopsis for the series:
During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.
Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.
