A new concept design imagines Superman actor Henry Cavill as Batman with Christian Bale’s The Dark Knight trilogy suit.
Although fans are used to seeing Henry Cavill wearing the colorful Superman costume in the DC Extended Universe, a stunning piece of fan art shows the actor with the Batman suit worn by Christian Bale in the Christopher Nolan trilogy. While Cavill’s future as Superman is still a little uncertain, Bale will next be seen crossing over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a villain in Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
The concept design comes from ‘houseofmat’ on Instagram, with the artist using Superman actor Henry Cavill as his choice to play Batman in an art challenge. The fan-made image shows Cavill with shorter hair than his typical Clark Kent style to fit Bruce Wayne’s typical look. It’s hard to deny that Cavill certainly fits the look in the Christian Bale Batman suit, even if it is a little odd to look at since the British actor has become synonymous with Superman. Check out the concept below.
Would Henry Cavill make a good version of Batman? Or do you prefer Christian Bale in that trilogy? Who do you want Bale to play in the MCU? Commen tbelow and let us know!
Henry Cavill was last seen as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
