Promotional art for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reveals the design for Ironheart.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever looks to further immerse audiences into one of the most-expansive worlds. Although the film comes with inherent bittersweetness given the passing of Chadwick Boseman, the first trailer showcased an intention to honor his legacy by expanding the scope of Black heroes, including the few that were first introduced in the first film, as well as some new additions, including Riri Williams AKA Ironheart (Dominique Thorne).

The first trailer gave fans a glimpse at Riri Williams putting together her Ironheart suit, akin to how Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) first put together the Mark 1 Iron Man suit in a cave with a box of scraps. Now, we got a look at how she will look suited up, thanks to some promo art that has surfaced the web.

Introducing Ironheart, a new MCU hero.

Although Ironheart will be making her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dominique Thorne is also going to be headlining her own original Disney Plus series, which will consist of six episodes and is set to hit the streaming service in late 2023 for Phase 5 of the MCU.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming sequel:

“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”

Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters on November 11, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming MCU film as well as the future of Ironheart, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original content.
