Creature Commandos is finally on its way! The release window for James Gunn’s first animated series in the DC Universe has officially been confirmed.
All eyes have been on Superman when it comes to the DC Universe. However, it’s easy to forget that James Gunn has another series coming out that will be the true first installment in the universe. That being Creature Commandos, the off-the-wall animated series put into motion before Gunn and Peter Safran ever founded DC Studios.
It’s easy to forget Creature Commandos is on the way because, unlike Superman, there’s no official release date for the project. James Gunn hasn’t shown off anything about the freshman DC Universe project aside from a single piece of promo art. However, it seems fans will be getting news soon with a premiere window finally confirmed.
Creature Commandos Ring In The Holidays
Fans will be getting a rather weird present from James Gunn this holiday season. It’s officially been confirmed that Creature Commandos will be released this December, ringing in the new DC Universe along with the new year.
More information about the DC Universe’s animated premiere will also be coming soon. It’s been confirmed that Creature Commandos will be getting its own panel at the Annecy Film Festival on Friday, June 14. While it’s not likely James Gunn himself will be there due to his Superman filming schedule, it’s possible the first footage from the series finally finds its way online!
