James Gunn has addressed recent rumors regarding the start of principal photography for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Despite being fired off Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 initially, James Gunn is now set to return and finish out the trilogy once he completes his work on The Suicide Squad. Not many details on the upcoming sequel are known, but Vin Diesel has revealed that we will be seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy in Thor: Love and Thunder before Gunn’s third film.

On Friday, it was reported that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to begin principal photography in February 2021. However, James Gunn has now debunked the rumored start date on a recent Instagram story saying that the date was never true. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to be a part of Marvel Studios’ Phase 5 line-up, but the film doesn’t currently have an official release date.
