Could Chris Pratt be joining the cast of Superman? James Gunn has shared a set photo featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy star on the set of his upcoming DC Universe film.
Filming for Superman has finally landed stateside. This has given James Gunn a chance to bring his friends (at least, the ones he didn’t already cast in the DC Universe onto set to see what all the excitement is about. One of these friends to make a stop by was actually Marvel star Chris Pratt, as shown in a recent set photo by the director himself.

While some suspect that this set photo may be James Gunn hinting at Chris Pratt joining the cast of the DC Universe, it’s not likely. Pratt is in very casual clothes, and it’s clear the photo wasn’t taken with the press in mind. And given how big the cast of Superman already is, it’s not likely Warner Bros. Discovery has “Chris Pratt” levels of money to throw around for the project.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy Join The DC Universe
Chris Pratt isn’t the only Guardians of the Galaxy member to step foot into the DC Universe. Nathan Fillion, who appeared in two Guardians films as a cameo, will be playing Guy Gardner in Superman. In addition, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker all made cameos in prior DC projects by James Gunn, and some of them are even playing new DCU characters.
That isn’t to say Chris Pratt couldn’t join the DC Universe after Superman. He, along with many other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast have expressed interest in strapping on a new set of spandex. So while James Gunn may not have cast Pratt in this project, his visit may be a preview of things to come!
