New set photos from the second season of The CW’s Batwoman show Javicia Leslie in the Arrowverse series.
Although it’s still not clear exactly how Javicia Leslie will step into the Batwoman shoes for the second season of the show, we’ve finally got our first look at the star on the Vancouver set of the Arrowverse series. The show made the headlines earlier this year after Ruby Rose left her leading role due to the long hours required of her. But Kate Kane’s absence will be incorporated into the mystery of Batwoman season two, and a series of new set photos tease a surprising plot point as well as giving us our first look at Javicia Leslie in the series.
A new blog from Canadagraphs on Twitter revealed the first shots of Javicia Leslie during filming although unfortunately she wasn’t wearing a cape and cowl. Instead, the Arrowverse star was seen in a blue jacket and checked trousers. But the most interesting set photo on the Canadagraphs blog showed off the Gotham City General Hospital set with a sign reading “”Bat Toxin Antidote – Line Up Here.” Given the current world climate, blaming bats for some kind of toxin could be a controversial move for the Batwoman series. Take a look at Arrowverse star Javicia Leslie in the set photos below.

Season two kicks off with a major game-changer that will alter Gotham and The Bat Team forever. As the dust settles, Batwoman has everything working against her – including the recently escaped rogues’ gallery of villains – and everyone will come to see her in a whole new light. Alice meets her match when she becomes entangled with a dangerous foe from her past who knows exactly how to prey on her vulnerabilities. As Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) find their footing as sidekicks, a romance will shake up their dynamic. Meanwhile, Sophie (Megan Tandy) and Julia’s (guest star Christina Wolfe) budding relationship will face its first real test and make Sophie question everything she thought she knew to be true.
