Jesse Eisenberg has shared his thoughts on the news that the Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League is coming to HBO Max.

This past Wednesday, Zack Snyder announced that his Justice League cut is coming to WarnerMedia’s streaming service HBO Max. Since then, Henry Cavill and a number of other Justice League stars have reacted to the news with messages on their social media pages, expressing their happiness over the announcement. Now, Justice League star Jesse Eisenberg has revealed how he feels about the Snyder Cut finally being released.

While promoting his upcoming drama film Resistance, Jesse Eisenberg spoke to Digital Spy and talked about the impending release of the Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League on HBO Max. Here’s wha the had to say on the matter:

“I spoke to Zack a couple of weeks ago and he told me about it. Yeah [I’m excited], because I’m friends with Zack. I’m so happy for him that he gets to release something he’s proud of. I mean, I can’t think of any other precedent in history where there was something of this scope. Because it’s not just about releasing the movie, but it required all of this… we call it post-production. So it’s not just they’re releasing scenes that are finished, they had to do a lot of post-production and it’s such a big process. And yeah, I’m so happy for him. He’s a great guy with a very, very specific vision and so, yes, I’m happy that he gets that. And he seemed really happy.”

Jesse Eisenberg played the villainous Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and its follow-up, Justice League. The character was last seen in one of the two post-credits scenes of Justice League, meeting with Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke to discuss the formation of a team of villains similar to the Legion of Doom. While Eisenberg’s future as Lex Luthor is currently unclear, the actor has stated that he’d love to continue playing the villain.

Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
