Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead anime for Netflix has added Joe Manganiello, Christian Slater, and many other notable names to the upcoming prequel series.
While Zack Snyder is busy completing his Justice League cut, he is also developing a few different projects for Netflix in regards to his upcoming zombie film, Army of the Dead. Last month it was announced that Snyder’s zombie film will be getting both a prequel film and an anime series. The anime series is titled, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas and will follow Dave Bautista’s character and his group at the start of the Zombie apocalypse.
David Bautista, Ana De La Reguera, Tig Notaro, Omari Hardwick, and Ella Purnell will reprise their roles from the film for the Army of the Dead anime. It has now been revealed that the anime series will also feature the voicing talents of Joe Manganiello, Christian Slater, Harry Lennix, Anya Chalotra, Ross Butler, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Yetide Badaki, Christina Wren, Monica Barbaro, and Nolan North.

Army of the Dead is one of the first projects Zack Snyder has taken upon with his production company The Stone Quarry. Set during a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, Army of the Dead follows a group of mercenaries that venture into a quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. Zack Snyder co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten.
In addition to directing Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder is serving as the film’s cinematographer. He’s also producing the picture with his wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder alongside Wesley Coller. Ori Marmur and Andrew Norman are overseeing for Netflix. The film stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win and Rich Cetrone.
