Lex Luthor star Jesse Eisenberg opened up about Justice League and explained that he’s very happy for director Zack Snyder.

With the Snyder cut of Justice League heading to HBO Max sometime next year, Lex Luthor actor Jesse Eisenberg recently opened up to Digital Spy about the project. The star initially pointed out that he’s “very happy” for the director, echoing the sentiments of other cast members like Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa and Ben Affleck who have all voiced their support for Snyder’s original vision of the DC team-up movie.

Jesse Eisenberg went on to discuss the effect of releasing Zack Snyder’s Justice League to HBO Max after the huge outcry from fans clamoring to see the film. The star explained that it’s just a new way of audiences dictating what the studio puts out. While studios previously made films to match what was commercially popular at the time, social media allows them to see what fans want directly. Eisenberg explained that it’s “kind of pre-emptive” before pointing out that the Justice League cut is “pretty intimate”.

“Well, always, audiences have been dictating what people are making. But this is just kind of much more immediate, kind of pre-emptive.”
