Miles Morales may finally be on his way to the Marvel Cinematic! Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased the character’s live-action debut in a recent interview.
Ever since Miles Morales broke into the world of mainstream pop culture with the beloved Spider-Verse franchise, fans have been begging for any news about when he could appear in the MCU. Sadly, aside from a small tease of Miles’ uncle Aaron Davis, Kevin Feige has been mostly quiet on the topic of bringing the character into live-action.
However, it seems that things may finally be looking up for Miles Morales fans. When asked about the characters future in a recent interview, Kevin Feige pointed out that he’ll be making his return in the upcoming Spider-Verse sequel. After that, the Marvel president admits that he’d love to start the process of bringing the character to live-action in the MCU.
“Miles will appear in the third Spider-Verse, which is in production,” Feige told Omelete in an interview. “I hope that, shortly after that, he will be able to enter the MCU in live-action.”
How Miles Morales Could Join The MCU
With Avengers: Secret Wars just around the corner, many believe that Kevin Feige may use the crossover event as an avenue to bring the beloved character into the MCU in a similar way to the comics bringing Miles Morales into 616. However, given the popularity of the character, it would likely make more sense for the live-action version of Miles to be native to the Sacred Timeline.
This idea would also line up with Tom Holland’s prior statements about wanting to mentor Miles Morales in the MCU. Given the actor is heavily involved in developing the next trilogy with the character, it’s likely that Kevin Feige is listening to his thoughts when planning a future for both his hero and his inevitable successor.
