Loki season 2 will see the return of Jonathan Majors as the MCU’s Kang the Conqueror, albeit in a few different forms than what fans may expect. However, the show’s director teases that a “definitive” version of Kang may make his appearance in the Disney Plus show.
The next episode of Loki season 2 is set to see Jonathan Majors’ grand return to the MCU as Victor Timely, a variant of Kang the Conqueror teased in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The Disney Plus show certainly gives an interesting take on Kang. However, the show’s director teases a more “definitive” version of the character is yet to come:
“I love all the Kangs, I think Kang’s a great character. I don’t know that we’ve seen the definitive Kang yet, in terms of what I would envision the definitive Kang [to be],” Loki director Dan DeLeeuw explained in a recent interview with ScreenRant. “I think there’s still someone yet to come out of the shadows.”
It seems as though Loki season 2 may be setting up exactly which version of Kang the Conqueror Jonathan Majors will play in Avengers: Kang Dynasty. How exactly the “definitive” Kang will be different than the one seen in Quantumania or Victor Timely in Loki is yet to be seen, but it certainly seems as though the MCU has a truly dangerous villain on the horizon.
