Avengers: Endgame star Mark Ruffalo reacted to Tatiana Maslany’s casting as the Marvel heroine She-Hulk.

This past Thursday, Marvel Studios found its She-Hulk in Tatiana Maslany, an Emmy-winning actress best known for her work in the sci-fi series Orphan Black. In the comics, She-Hulk is the cousin of Bruce Banner, a.k.a. The Hulk, the character played by Mark Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Friday, Mark Ruffalo took to his personal Twitter page to comment on Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk casting. Ruffalo shared the article that broke the casting news, with a caption that reads, “Welcome to the family, cuz! @tatianamaslany #SheHulk.” You can check out his Twitter post below.

Earlier this week, Marry Me helmer Kat Coiro signed on to direct the She-Hulk pilot and additional episodes of the Disney Plus series. In addition to directing, Coiro is also executive producing the series. Rick and Morty scribe Jessica Gao is developing She-Hulk, serving as lead writer on the project.

In the comics, She-Hulk is the alter-ego of Jennifer Walters, a private attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner. After being shot, Jennifer Walters receives a blood transfusion from Bruce that transforms her into the gamma-powered She-Hulk. However, unlike most incarnations of Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Jennifer Walters retains her sharp wit and emotional control in her She-Hulk form, which later becomes permanent.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of films includes Black WidowThe EternalsShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter SoldierWandaVisionLokiWhat If…?, HawkeyeMs. MarvelMoon Knight, and She-Hulk.
