Marvel’s Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has teased a possible World War Hulk adaptation coming to fruition in the MCU beyond She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Mark Ruffalo recently returned to the role of Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk in the MCU in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he has played a supporting role alongside Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters. However, She-Hulk could be laying the foundations for a bigger Hulk story.

Talking about the character’s potential future in the MCU, Mark Ruffalo recently discussed how he believes the Hulk may soon revert to his more barbaric ways.

Return Of Berserker Hulk

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mark Ruffalo was asked about his Hulk future beyond She-Hulk.

The actor revealed that he thinks Smart Hulk’s days may be numbered, with a return for the character’s “berserker” persona now on the cards. With She-Hulk surprisingly sending Bruce Banner back to Sakaar, many are speculating Marvel is setting up World War Hulk.

Mark Ruffalo seems to be on board with the World War Hulk theories, saying of his MCU future:

“The cool thing about this world is that it could just be anything. Five years from now it could totally morph into anything, whatever’s pertinent at the time. I almost see him going back to ‘Berserker Hulk’ or ‘World War Hulk’. It could go anywhere. That’s the exciting part — I’ve played five different versions from beginning to now, and that’s kept it interesting for me and I hope interesting for other people.”

While Smart Hulk has been a fun, more comedic take on the character, it’s looking more and more likely that the original Hulk is on his way back. She-Hulk saw Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner claiming he had integrated his two personas, but the Hulk may not want to let “puny Banner” stay in the driver’s seat for long.

Here is the synopsis for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law:

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.”

Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law premiere every Thursday on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Mark Ruffalo’s future as the Hulk in the MCU and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
