Marvel’s Avengers has revealed the first look at Captain Marvel along with a tease for Hawkeye in the new video game from Crystal Dynamics.

The new game featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is set to feature Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel along with the superhero team. While the developer has not shown off any new footage of the young Pakistani-American superhero recently, the official Twitter account for Marvel’s Avengers revealed two new Zoom backgrounds featuring Kamala Khan’s bedroom, offering our first look at the game’s design for Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers can be seen in a poster above Kamala’s bed as Kamala herself is a huge fan of Captain Marvel.

In addition to the game’s version of Captain Marvel, the new Zoom backgrounds feature new looks at many of the game’s heroes including Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. But fans have also noticed a tease for Hawkeye as a picture frame features the cover from Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon. You can check it out below.

So what do you think? Are you hoping Captain Marvel and Hawkeye will be featured as playable characters in the game? Let us know in the comments below!

Fans can expect to see new footage from the upcoming game later this month on June 24 during the Avengers War Table stream event which will reveal footage of new co-op gameplay and story missions from the game. Marvel’s Avengers was originally slated to release May 15, 2020, however, the game was pushed back in January and rescheduled to arrive on September 4, 2020.

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic impacting many projects in the industry, the developers behind Marvel’s Avengers have assured fans that the team is working from home to ensure the game meets its intended release date later this summer.

Here is the official synopsis for Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers:

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Featuring regular content updates, Marvel’s Avengers will take players on an epic journey delivered over multiple years. This game is what’s next for the Avengers.
