To say that the Netflix science fiction horror drama series Stranger Things is a popular and beloved show is an understatement to say the least. The show has been watched tens of millions of times by Netflix subscription members, and the creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, are already hard at work on the third season.
The show’s breakout star Millie Bobby Brown (who portrays Eleven on the show) has recently posted a photo on her Instagram page which shows her and fellow co-star Sadie Sink (who portrays Max) hugging each other and crying. Many fans took this as confirmation that the series would come to a close with the third season, but Brown has now come out on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to clarify:
“I’m just a very emotional person. When it comes to my closest people, like, I’m not good at goodbyes. Last day of the season. Of the season, not the show, the season. Watch Netflix call me after this, ‘You can’t say anything,’ okay, got it.”
She then went on to say to explain:
“My nose gets really red when I cry. I was really crying. Those are real tears. So basically, what happened was I’m a very emotional person, I can’t say goodbye to people, it gives me serious sadness and anxiety, and so when I had to say goodbye to my best friend Sadie, I just broke down.”

Now, Stranger Things fans can be put at ease, knowing that the upcoming third season will not be the last time we will see the band of misfits trying to save their town. Stranger Things Season 3 does not currently have a set release date but will arrive on Netflix next summer.
Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, and Dacre Montgomery. New additions to the cast for season three include Maya Hawke, Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, and Francesca Reale.
