Madame Web is Sony’s next attempt at creating a Spider-Man universe without the titular webhead. A new set of posters gives fans their best look yet at the heroes’ costumes, including that of Cassandra Webb.
Fans got their first look at the costumes in Madame Web last month when the trailer dropped. However, Cassandra Webb’s own supersuit was mostly absent from the footage. The new posters reveal that Dakota Johnson will be donning a costume straight from the comics in the film, though seemingly with a Spider-Man twist held beneath the trenchcoat.
The posters also give fans a better look at the costumes of Madame Web‘s supporting cast. The prior trailer showed brief glimpses of Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor in their super suits, but the posters confirm they’ll each also have a connection to Spider-Man through the emblem on their chest.
Who else is attached to the Madame Web movie?
Madame Web is an upcoming superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, who made her first appearance in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #210. The movie is being directed by S.J. Clarkson, a British television director who has previously worked on episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Marvel’s Defenders.
The Madame Web movie is expected to explore the origin story of the titular character and her first journey in the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters. Its cast also includes Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Adam Scott and Zosia Mamet.
Madame Web is currently slated to hit theaters on February 16, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
