After courting controversy over social media posts involving DMs from the singer Doja Cat, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has confirmed the matter has been laid to rest.

An unlikely controversy erupted between the Stranger Things actor, who plays Will Byers in the Netflix series, and Doja Cat on TikTok last week. Noah Schnapp had shared a screenshot of DMs from Doja Cat in a TikTok, an action the singer then called out in a TikTok Live.

While it sparked a widespread online reaction, Noah Schnapp has now assured fans that everything has been sorted out between him and Doja Cat.

In a new TikTok, Will Byers showed his fans all was well with a video of him dancing to Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More.” He explained that everything was fine between him and the singer in the comments.

“Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings,” the Stranger Things star wrote in the video’s comments section. It sounds like the two have sorted things out between themselves.

The controversy kicked off when Doja Cat addressed Noah Schnapp’s original post, which shared images of direct messages she sent the star trying to get in touch with his Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn. She called the young actor’s post “unbelievably socially unaware.”

The controversy split fans with some agreeing with Doja Cat and some suggesting it was wrong of her to attack a young actor over TikTok. The singer reportedly lost 200,000 followers over the incident.
