An awesome new concept design imagines You star Penn Badgley as the Reverse-Flash for Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie.
The long-in-development solo Flash film is currently set to hit theaters in the summer of 2022. While plot details are being kept under lock and key, the project is expected to adapt the classic DC Comics story Flashpoint, which follows Barry Allen when he runs back in time to prevent the death of his mother, creating an alternate timeline where he never becomes the Scarlet Speedster in a much-different DC Universe.
While production on The Flash was originally expected to begin in 2021, it remains unclear as to when the project will be able to move forward due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, it’s only a matter of time before The Flash film finds its Eobard Thawne as the Flashpoint storyline features Reverse Flash as its main villain and a new fan edit from digital artist “bobby_art” imagines what Penn Badgley could look like as the iconic DC Comics character. You can check it out below.

So it’s basically confirmed that we will see a version of Reverse Flash in the Flash solo movie since its going to be inspired by the Flashpoint storyline, so here’s my design of what a Reverse Flash suit could look like in the DCEU, inspired by the Injustice 2 design. I think @pennbadgley who plays Joe Goldberg from You could be a good Reverse Flash. Anyways, tell me below in the comments what I should make an edit of next. Feel free to repost but give me credit please. ⚡️ – – – – – – – #pennbadgley #reverseflash #eobardthawne #professorzoom #zoom #hunterzolomon #theflash #flash #barryallen #wallywest #jaygarrick #kidflash #releasethesnydercut #titans #new52 #snydercut #zacksnyder #ezramiller #rebirth #dccomics #gorillagrodd #cw #dcrebirth #flashpoint #flashpointparadox #digitalart #photoshop #speedster #dceu #worldsofdc
So what do you think? Would Penn Badgley be a good choice for the role of Eobard Thawne? Or is there someone else you would like to see play Reverse Flash? Sound-off in the comments!
IT director Andy Muschietti is set to direct the project from a script written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). Muschietti and his wife and IT producer Barbara Muschietti will produce the project along with Michael Disco.
While Miller is confirmed to return for another appearance as The Flash, Iris West actress Kiersey Clemons has yet to ink a new deal to return as The Flash’s love interest. Clemons was cast as Iris West for an appearance in Justice League, however, the actress was ultimately cut from the film during the project’s tumultuous post-production process.
